ACDC Europe 2026
23rd IET International Conference on AC and DC Power Transmission

Over 190 engineers from 19 countries attended ACDC Europe 2026, which took place in Berlin on 28-29 April 2026.
Attendees heard over 55 technical presentations, covering HVDC, grid forming, DC circuit breakers, control systems in power transmission, multi-terminal grids, and many other topics in power transmission. Updates on major transmission projects included InterOPERA, StromnetzDC, and Northern Seas TSOs’ collaboration.
Other highlights of ACDC Europe 2026 included:
- A programme of invited speakers, which included senior names from 50Hertz GmbH, TenneT, Bundesnetzagentur, TransnetBW, Supergrid Institute, Sungrow, and Hitachi Energy.
- Panel discussions on stakeholder perspectives on HVDC deployment, and innovation in power transmission.
- A post-conference technical visit to the Siemens Energy Switchgear Factory.
